Remember the simple rules to participate in this event are:

   1. Prepare any kind of tortilla at home.
   2. Take pictures (if possible) and post about it on your blog. Mention the event on the post. You might use the logo for your psots. (If you don't have a blog skip to step 3)
   3. Post the permalink to your entry on this topic. If you don't have a blog, post your picture and recipe here.
   4. You might send as many entries as you wish. Tortillas are a versatile ingredient that you can use for many different dishes.
   5. The deadline is May 31st.

I am looking forward to seeing your entries!

I will make them again and cannot wait to try your spinach corn tortilla recipe!
Thanks for the challenge!

Great entry icedteaforme. I am so glad you made your own tortillas, isn't that so rewarding? Smiley

I shall try and make some but I don't have a cast iron skillet.  Is there any other way to cook them?

Such a coincidence that Homemade is about Tortillas and I can actually improve my slacker image and submit my recent tortilla making skills.  Actually, my husband seemed to be better than I since I had no patience for peeling the masa from the plastic wrap.  But the tortillas are so tasty, we're not planning on buying pre-made tortillas again.  http://sassandveracity.com/2009/05/06/not-my-mamas-mexican-street-tacos/

I have made two kinds of different tortillas so far for the event: spinach and beet tortillas. They look gorgeous and tasted great! Here are the links:

Beet chalupas

Spinach tortillas

I can't wait to see what else you guys come up with Smiley

I make homemade tortillas all the time.  It's been awhile since I've posted my flour tortilla recipe.  I thought it would be fun to share anyway.  Enjoy!

Hi,
I finally managed to find my way here.

Here is my post
