Your strobe setup is probably more appropriate for portrait photography than for food. I say this after having used a similar setup for food for quite a few years. More recently I have made two modifications. I try to use natural light when it is available (usually from a nearby window). And I use one strobe in most cases when I use a strobe at all. I place it just off center behind the food. This would have made an improvement in this otherwise excellent shot of molletes. You lost detail in the cheese. Backlighting with reflectors at the sides and front to soften the shadows would have produced soft, natural looking shadows while preserving the detail in the white parts of your food. I wish you great success. There is a lot of work for food photographers in the Chicago market. One tip: At the top of the profession, stylists don't do their own photography and photographers don't do their own styling. Even if qualified to do both, it would involve too much multi-tasking to get optimum results. Having said this, I will admit I don't use a stylist for my on-location menu food photography for independent restaurants, and the clients are generally pleased. They would perhaps not be pleased to pay for an assistant, a stylist, etc.
