Homemade – End of 2009 edition

It’s been a couple of months, but the Homemade event is back! Due to lack of time I can no longer maintain the forum, but that doesn’t mean the event has to die with it. In the near future the event might have a new house, but nothing is concrete yet. But for now it will stay here in my blog. And now to the fun part.

2009 has been a very interesting year full of food and great ideas. We were in the middle of an economic global crisis, but that didn’t affect the creativity of the foodie blog-o-sphere. That’s why this month I want to showcase that creativity in this event. There is not an specific theme for this month’s homemade. You can participate with any recipe that you posted on your blog this year. What was your best dish this year? Send it over and I’ll include it on the roundup.

But it doesn’t stop there. December is a month full of celebrations, tasty treats and great food. Are you baking a cookie-thon? Are you cooking something special for Yule, Christmas, Kwanza, Chanuka or any other holiday you celebrate? What about an old year (or new year) dinner? They are all welcome this month. So here are the simple rules for the event:

  • Please mention the event with a link to this post on your blog so we get a bigger party going. If you are sending a recipe that you posted before this announcement, you can mention the event in another post, just a line with a link will suffice. Remember, you can send any recipe that was posted during 2009.
  • There are no limits on how many entries you can send.
  • The deadline to receive your entries is January 2nd, 2010 and the roundup will be posted the following week.
  • Leave a comment on this post with the following information:
  • Name
  • Location
  • Blog name and URL
  • Name of the recipe and permalink
  • A brief description of what it is (e.g. My best cake this year or My gradma’s Christmas cookies)

Let’s make this Homemade event the best foodie party of the year.

¡Buen provecho!
